HAIR MYTHS THAT ARE JUST NOT TRUE!

1) Only Caucasian women have "fine hair" - The crazy part is if you Google fine hair only Caucasian women are shown so you would automatically think this myth is true. Well, I am here to say this is “SUPER DUPER” false and because of results like this, multicultural women with fine hair don't know that this is what they have. At Haircredible, our goal is to bring women out of this bubble and let the world know we are in our own lane. Fine hair is BEAUTIFUL! Try Googling "natural fine hair" and look at what comes up!

2) Using the right products will make your fine hair THICKER! - Um no... Sorry to be the deliverer of bad news but if you have fine hair then guess what... You have to work with what you have and not rely on products for "thicker" strands. The right products can keep your fine hair super healthy and maintain all that greatness so that you don't suffer from loss, dryness, breakage, and all that bad stuff.

3) Fine hair should be air-dried and not blow-dried due to its fragileness- Blow-drying causes more damage to the hair's surface, but air-drying can create damage within your hair strands. Yes! I know we just can't win right? Researchers say that the interior of the hair swells when exposed to water for extended periods of time, possibly creating more damage than heat styling. So, our best bet is to use low heat instead of air-drying all the time.

4) My Hair is THIN so this means I have FINE HAIR- Not necessarily Luvs! Fine hair is not so much of how much hair you have on your head but more so your "strand thickness.” You can have a full head of hair but your strands can be fine, medium, or coarse. How will you know? Well some like to do the strand test, which is when you take a single strand in between your fingers, and you don’t feel anything, then you have fine hair. If you can feel the hair, then it's medium. If you feel a strong, thick strand, then you are coarse. Thin hair is all about the density of the follicle. Thin hair is described as “having lesser hair follicles placed closely together,” so that is why we can see your scalp.

5) OIL will weigh your fine hair down! - We all know too much oil is a 'No No' and applying oil to your scalp can weigh your hair down. Being that our hair is already super fragile and we all know our ends are the oldest, roughest, and driest. Applying oil to your ends of your hair can give it that shine, luster, and most of all protection. Also, giving your ends a deep treatment once a week will combat that breakage and dryness. Start with your ends and work your way to the root. I like to use Haircredible’s Argan Oil & Shea Butter Masque in the microwave for about 8 seconds and then apply, if you don't have a hood dryer. Plus it's faster if you’re a mom or woman on the go!

Haircredible caters to fine hair giving you lightweight ingredients and making sure your hair not only looks great now but most importantly in the long run.

Can you believe all of these women have fine hair?!
