It’s the best time of the year! Fall and Winter 2016 is going to be everything. We always ease into it, but as soon as October rolls around… things start to get serious. First of all; HALLOWEEN! Some know this day as Gay Christmas, but for makeup lovers, we see it as the one day our freaks can push all the way through. Are you hearing me?! All. The. Way. Through. That's a blog post all on its own, but today we are going to be talking about the trends for fall and winter 2016 Black Owned Business (B.O.B.) style. Every Makeup Maven waits all year for the holiday season, and I’m going to let you know what you have to look forward to.

Makeup in this time of year is all about lips, lashes, and liners.

Of course, we have the normal fall lippies with the deep reds such as “Bawse Lady” and purples like "She's Just Jelly."

But the stunners for winter and fall this year will be the metallics and glitter lips.

Everyone will be doing glitter lips this season.

I recently tried this trend. I purchased two kits through a distributor in Brooklyn. NY named Danielle Edmond of “Danz Distributors” (@to.be.golden), making this a Black Owned Business purchase.

They are easy to apply and they are comfortable to wear. The color payoff is insane. There is no lipstick underneath. It’s truly a glitter lip kit. I wore the Coco Loco during a night out and received so many compliments. iSlay.

Hair Care

As the temp drops, it's all about low maintenance, long lasting styles.

Goddess locs are still going strong and will be one of the "go to" looks along with box braids.

In addition to the classics, kinky clips ins will be the perfect way to either maintain your kinks while protecting your hair with low commitment, or giving your hair extra length and volume. Remember when people use to say, "who would buy kinky black people hair?" Mama, we already made it and now they know it, too.

The hair is created using high quality synthetics that cannot be compared to what you might find in your local hair stores.

Nails

The number one rule of thumb when it comes to finding the right nail polish for you skin tone, "if it looks good on your lips, it will do the same for your fingertips." Well, I just made that up, but it's true. If you receive most of your compliments and are inclined to take the majority of your sefies whenever you wear your favorite lip shade of coral, then the same shade will be sure to stun on your nails. Holographic nails are this year's show stoppers, but if you aren't ready to do a dramatic look, there are other options available.

My favorite shades for the winter/fall 2016 are by Polish & Co with nail colors for this season such as Eggplant Parmesan, Nate Eyes, and Opposite of White .
